Play Dordle — two words, seven guesses.

Play Dordle here — the game itself, on its own page, under the real rules. Two secret 5-letter words hide behind the two boards; every guess you make is played on both at once, and you have seven guesses to solve them both. Daily gives everyone the same two words today; Practice deals two fresh words whenever you like. This is the playable game — if you are mid-game elsewhere and want help instead, the Quordle Solver is a separate page for four boards, not two.

Same four words for everyone today · new puzzle at midnight
Daily Dordle Guesses left: 7 Boards solved: 0 / 2

Type a 5-letter word — it will be played on both boards at once.

The two dots under each key show that letter’s state on Boards 1–2 — so a letter can be green on one board and grey on the other, and the keyboard never hides that.

The Rules

How Dordle works — the proper rules

  1. Two secret words. Each board hides a different 5-letter word. In a game the two words are never the same word twice.
  2. Seven guesses, shared. You get 7 guesses in total — not 7 per board. Every guess is entered once and played on both boards at the same time, even on a board you have already solved.
  3. Guesses must be real words. A guess only counts if it is a valid 5-letter English word. Anything else is rejected and does not use up a guess.
  4. Each board colours the guess for its own word. Green — right letter, right place. Yellow — the letter is in that board’s word, but not in that place. Grey — no more of that letter in that board’s word than the green and yellow tiles already show.
  5. Duplicates are counted exactly. If a word holds one L and you guess a word with two Ls, only one of them can turn green or yellow — the second stays grey. A letter grey on one board may still be the answer on the other.
  6. Solve a board by guessing its word exactly. That board is banked and marked with the guess number you solved it on. Solve both boards within the seven guesses to win.
  7. Run out of guesses and the game ends. Any unsolved word is revealed, so you always learn the answers.
  8. Daily vs Practice. Daily is one puzzle per day — the same two words for everyone, changing at midnight your time. Practice deals two fresh random words every game, as often as you like.
